Developing flight critical systems, such as emergency landing to meet future protocols
Emergency landing is an infrequent possibility that engineers must mitigate against, so Barrett Aerospace is co-developing future systems that can land medium/heavy UAVs and E-VTOLs. Such projects are well received within our research and development scope.

The ability to engineer, integrate and flight test delivers quick solutions that actually work
Our best asset comes from the people we employ and where it all begins. Having a well established and highly integrated supply chain, each with their core capabilities, is easily brought in as needed to support our designs. Since 2022 we have added Artificial Intelligence and Additive Manufacturing to our experience. Hence we are a capable team when it comes to integration and vehicle solution design.
Static Load Testing
Being data orientated, continuous testing and evaluation is key to our understanding
Barrett Aerospace will prefer to take a design as far as possible within a virtual model, including non-linear simulation and then as a fully assembled model. Then there comes a time when empirical tests are needed, to prove or dis-prove the design. A standard testing hierarchy is applied to all out project designs, to provide more than ample objective data and analysis to validate the expected performance. More recently we have gained good experience in test flying and employ some of the most stringent safety protocols. Our interpretation of protocols are both effective and efficient when it comes to testing. Customers are often invited to witness the test of their concepts, often the first time it flies!
We apply new technologies that redefine UAVs
We are keen aerospace engineers who can incorporate ‘design beauty’
Our project success is enhanced by an appreciation of beauty that’s always being applied to our engineered design. We incorporate key aesthetics into the prototype without compromise of fit, form and function. We are not into the making flying contraptions and will always advise our clients accordingly. Every project we manage is reflected by the sum of all its parts, it must work and it should look good!
Most of what we do still starts with a pencil sketch
Because we can use simulations, empirical data and virtually test doesn't mean that our projects have typically started that way. We believe that it can’t if you want to achieve something that’s also beautiful.
We are more than capable of helping clients to first visualise their idea, to begin the process of identifying the critical to end user functional requirements. There could also be several versions, or different approaches done this way.
It remains a fast and effective way of gravitating towards ‘the one’!
